Knowing What Counts.

The Evaluation of Publication in Political Research project investigates how researchers of politics view the publication process. Its current effort involves updating the Garand-Giles rankings of scholarly journals and publishers by undertaking an updated and expanded survey of researchers in political research. Our goal is producing a public good: a more complete and nuanced view of publication quality. We hope this project will help inform the discipline’s decision-making and presentation of its standards to outside audiences.
